A collaborative meeting was held on 8th July 2025 at Nayi Disha office, IIIT Campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad between UVARD, represented by Mr. K. Rajkumar (CEO), and Nayi Disha, represented by Ms. Prachi Deo (Founder), Ms. Chitra Chaurasia (Outreach Specialist), Ms. Lathika (Outreach Executive), and Ms. Anjana. The discussion focused on exploring strategic collaboration to strengthen support systems for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Telangana. Key outcomes included plans to hold a meeting with UVARD’s board members on the strategic partnership & collaboration, sharing of key project indicators by UVARD, and mutual agreement to include UVARD’s member organisations in Nayi Disha’s Service Provider Directory. Both parties agreed to initiate awareness activities under the Community Preparedness Program (CPP) and Organisation Development Program (ODP), along with a joint session to introduce Nayi Disha’s "Know Your Rights (KYR)" program to UVARD’s member organisations. Additionally, the teams discussed a possible partnership for training Anganwadi workers on IDD awareness and inclusion, with a follow-up meeting proposed for further planning. The session concluded with mutual enthusiasm to take the collaboration forward meaningfully.
