WHO WE ARE
Our organization works for the welfare of the disabled with the aim of improving rehabilitation techniques and enhancing coordination between different welfare departments of the center and state.
UVARD was established and registered in 2002 in Telangana, with the aim of strengthening and uniting the NGOs, or voluntary organizations, working for the welfare of the disabled. UVARD has started as a federation to support and strengthen more than 50 partner NGO’s working in the field of disability in different districts of Telangana. We also ensure to intensify our efforts to enhance our coordination and networking in this regard.
Our organization’s goal is to act as an advisory body for the state and central welfare departments in coordinating their various activities, developing new techniques for disabled people's rehabilitation, and disseminating the information to other organizations. Additionally, UVARD conducts workshops and extensive research in the disability field and enhances the capacity of member organizations while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

MISSION
In collaboration with all our members, our mission is:
1. To ensure the effective implementation of policies to empower the PwD’s.
2. To ensure the opportunities that provide quality higher education to 300 differently abled children by 2028.
3. To create diversified livelihood opportunities for 300 differently abled people by 2028.
4. To strengthen the coordination of NGO-partners working in the field of disability.
5. To create awareness among the general public about the government's policies and facilities.
6. To take up research and innovation programmes for the betterment of the lives of PwD’s.
